The LIFE ELEKTRA project proudly participated in the Desalination for the Environment – Clean Water and Energy Congress, held from April 27 to 30, 2025, at the Alfândega Congress Centre in Porto, Portugal. Organized by the European Desalination Society (EDS), this premier event convened global experts to discuss advancements in sustainable water and energy solutions.
At the congress, the LIFE ELEKTRA team presented a detailed poster outlining the project’s innovative approach to addressing nitrate contamination in drinking water. The participation in EDS 2025 provided an invaluable platform for LIFE ELEKTRA to engage with leading researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals of the desalination processes. The exchange of ideas and feedback received during the event will inform the project’s ongoing development and implementation across its pilot sites in Spain and Malta.
