LIFE ELEKTRA Presents Circular Water Innovation At The IWA-YWP Iberoamerican Conference 2026 In Madrid

LIFE ELEKTRA took part in the 1st IWA-YWP Iberoamerican Conference 2026, held in Madrid from 27-30th October. The event brings together young water professionals, researchers and industry representatives to exchange knowledge, foster collaboration and explore innovative solutions to current and future challenges in the water sector.

Representing Aguas de Valencia (AVSA), Miguel Capilla presented a scientific poster showcasing the work developed within LIFE ELEKTRA. The contribution highlighted the project’s approach to electrochemical denitrification and its role in advancing circular water treatment by addressing nitrate pollution while exploring opportunities for resource recovery and hydrogen generation.

Through its research and demonstration activities, LIFE ELEKTRA aims to develop a more sustainable approach to treating nitrate-contaminated water, improving resource efficiency and exploring the integration of renewable energy. The conference provided a valuable opportunity to share the project’s scientific work and engage with the Young Water Professionals community.

By participating in this international exchange, LIFE ELEKTRA continues to promote knowledge sharing and collaboration around innovative water technologies, contributing to the development of more sustainable and resource-efficient water management solutions.
