LIFE ELEKTRA Showcased at AEDyR 2025 in Tenerife

The LIFE ELEKTRA project was proudly represented at AEDyR 2025, the prestigious congress organized by the Spanish Association for Desalination and Reuse. The event provided a dynamic platform for presenting the project’s breakthrough technology in electrochemical denitrification, which tackles nitrate contamination while producing green hydrogen and recovering valuable salts.

During the congress, the ELEKTRA team shared project insights with water management professionals, researchers, and institutional stakeholders from across Spain and Europe. The focus was on how the ELEKTRA technology supports the circular economy and contributes to the EU’s water and energy goals.

As part of the trip, project representatives also met with the Consejo Insular de Aguas de Gran Canaria, reinforcing collaboration around the planned pilot plant deployment in the Canary Islands. These meetings support the project’s mission to validate and replicate its innovative solution in real-world water treatment scenarios.

LIFE ELEKTRA continues to advance sustainable water treatment technologies that support decarbonization, resource recovery, and smart energy integration, making a strong case for innovation in the face of growing water and climate challenges.
