In March 2024, María Pedro, Project Manager at Aguas de Valencia, presented the LIFE ELEKTRA project at Transfiere 2024, the European Meeting on Science, Technology, and Innovation, held at the FYCMA – Trade Fairs and Congress Center of Málaga. This premier event serves as a nexus for the Spanish innovation ecosystem, connecting science, technology, and business to foster international collaboration.
During the presentation, María Pedro highlighted LIFE ELEKTRA’s innovative approach to sustainable water management. The project focuses on electrochemical denitrification technology powered by renewable energy sources, aiming to remove nitrates from drinking water while generating green hydrogen and valorizing salts. This circular economy model contributes to more efficient and sustainable water resource management.
Transfiere 2024 provided an invaluable platform for LIFE ELEKTRA to engage with a diverse audience of researchers, industry professionals, and policymakers. The event facilitated knowledge exchange and potential partnerships, reinforcing the project’s commitment to advancing environmental sustainability through technological innovation.
