On November 21, 2023, Global Omnium, through Aguas de Valencia, presented the LIFE ELEKTRA project during a webinar organized by Working Group 3 of the Spanish Water Technology Platform (PTEA). This session focused on water treatment and purification, bringing together professionals from LIFE and H2020 projects, including representatives from public and private entities, as well as research and technological institutes.
The webinar served as a platform for sharing innovative solutions in water treatment, highlighting the importance of collaboration between various stakeholders in addressing environmental challenges. Aguas de Valencia’s presentation of LIFE ELEKTRA underscored the project’s commitment to sustainable water management through electrochemical denitrification technology.
LIFE ELEKTRA aims to reduce nitrate concentrations in the water cycle by developing an integrated, cost-effective, and sustainable system. The project focuses on converting nitrates into nitrogen gas while promoting process decarbonization through renewable energy integration, including photovoltaics and hydrogen.
